Broadway Line Express
Something old and something new. R143 coming onto the Broadway Line express track from the Chamber Street cut of the Myrtle El which was put in service in 1914. The Broadway El was rebuilt from the original two-track 1888 structure to three tracks in 1916. In those early days the service did not stop while this transformation was done; that could never happen today.
